In some applications installing a speaker in the wall or ceiling is simply not feasible. Multiple Dwelling speakers or "MDU’s" are a perfect solution. Whether it be the construction materials, lack of inner wall space, sound transference into an adjoining unit or code restrictions, there are simply times when a flush mounted speaker will not work. The AIM MDU was designed specifically for these applications. Mounted to a J-box or attached directly to a ceiling joist, the multi-pivot bracket suspends the ported enclosure and allows the speaker to be aimed at any position in the room. The 4-inch woofer and 1-inch dome tweeter deliver a very smooth and open sonic presentation that, matched with one of our freestanding subwoofers, will dramatically fill any room in a condo, town home or apartment with a very satisfying musical experience.
