Description Technical Specs

The Bose® CineMate® Series II digital home theater speaker system: The easiest way to bring Bose® performance to your HDTV. Two speaker arrays and a hideaway Acoustimass® module deliver lifelike sound that puts you in the middle of the action--without center or rear speakers.

Proprietary TrueSpace® technology and digital acoustic performance provide sound that seems to surround you. You’ll experience deeper low notes and more immersive sound for all your movies, music, sports and gaming.

The speakers feature precisely angled drivers to produce an enveloping sound experience and crisp, clear dialogue centered to the TV screen. The Acoustimass module offers dramatic effects without audible distortion, so you can hide it almost anywhere in the room. All the sound seems to come from the compact speakers.

The CineMate Series II system sets up easily with just three wires and a power cord. The included setup disc walks you through the process. And the system hooks up directly to your TV, which means you won't need to disconnect sources already connected to the TV, such as a Blu-ray Disc™ player or cable/satellite box. A simplified four-button remote control provides power, volume and mute functions.

From setup to operation, the CineMate Series II system offers the simplicity you want from your home entertainment. It's available only from Bose, the most respected name in sound.

Key Features
Proprietary TrueSpace® digital processing circuitry delivers a spacious, multichannel sound experience with strong center imaging from just two visible speakers and a hideaway Acoustimass module.
Acoustimass module works in concert with the small speakers to deliver a fuller range of theater sound and effects. The patented Bose design produces low frequencies for all channels with no audible distortion.
Interface module houses two LED indicators and connectors for audio input, and receives IR commands for the speaker system. Connects directly to your TV while providing status information (on/off) for your speaker system.
Sleek four-button remote controls power, volume and mute functions in a simplified, streamlined design.
System setup consists of only four simple connections. Intuitive one-way connectors eliminate the guesswork often associated with more complex systems.
Digital 5.1 decoding provides improved realism from 5.1-encoded DVDs, DBS or HDTV.
Proprietary Videostage® 5 decoding and post-processing circuitry, combined with digital 5.1 decoding and DTS®, delivers a high quality, multichannel surround sound experience from practically any source: DVDs, videocassettes, stereo CDs, even older mono TV shows and movies.
Digital Dynamic Range® speaker compression circuitry enables you to hear soft sounds (particularly dialogue) even at low volumes—and still appreciate the impact of loud special effects.

5 of 5 Awesome external TV speakers December 16, 2011
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Lynnwood, WA United States
This Bose Cinemate Series II is my first external TV speakers I have ever owned. Sound and voice from movies are now much clearer and easier for me to understand. I do not have to press on volume button on the remote for long before my living room starts shaking and my living room is quite large, adjacent to the kitchen. Listening to music is also like never before. The only difference between the Series II and Series II GS which costs 200 dollars more, is that the GS has smaller speakers and universial remote but I can live with the non-universial remote and my speakers are not taking much footprint. Why do I have to have smaller speakers? The Series II is exactly what I was looking for. The most common complaint is that it is not true suround 5.1. To be honest, I don't even know what that means. I am not an audiophile. I am only an average TV/movie viewer looking for something to enhance sound from TV. The Bose Cinemate Series II is doing that and much more.
